Descaling is the hydro-mechanical process of removing oxidisation deposits on steel, during steel production. This facilitates the production of high quality steel, which is free from imperfections.

The S Series pumps offer superior performance for high quality forging and energy efficiency in both direct pumping or stored energy systems. Tube Press systems are used in dewatering applications worldwide, to separate solids and liquids to produce drip-free cakes from concentrate.

Walking Beams & Manipulators

The safe movement and control of product in steel mills, is imperative for its success. Whether the product is a beam fresh from the furnace at 900°C or a coiled steel roll weighing over 20 tons, machinery is required to transport and manipulate these products.
RMI provide water hydraulic pump stations and control, which allow for the safe, smooth and controlled manipulation of steel product throughout the Steel mill.

Hot Saw Cooling

Hot Saw Cutting is a method used for the rough parting of hot steel items above 700°C, used primarily for cutting bars, billets, rails, sections, tubes and profiles.
RMI provide water hydraulic pump stations and control, which allow for the reliable and efficient cooling to the Hot Saw blades to maximise blade longevity, and maintain partition quality.

Power Generation Cleaning

Power Generation is a specialised process, with hundreds of technical procedures required to safely produce energy, such as FGD (Flue Gas Desulphurisation), APH (Air Pre Heating) and GGH (Gas Gas Heating).
RMI provide water hydraulic pump stations and controls, which allow for the safe and efficient cleaning of these critical pieces of equipment, to allow power plants to remain productive and within regulation.

Umbilical Flush & Pressure Testing

Umbilical’s are used in Oil & Gas applications, to make the vital connection between subsea equipment and the platforms, providing; control, power, communications and chemical services.
Prior to implementation, the umbilical’s must be flushed and pressure tested to ensure no manufacturing defects are present. RMI provide a fully automated unit capable of both flushing and pressure testing umbilical’s, drastically reducing test times and improving productivity.
